The Wrist and Thumb Support (W47) is a brace that is worn to provide support and stability to the wrist and thumb. It is intended for use in cases of wrist or thumb sprains or strains and to help prevent hyperextension of the thumb.
This brace is also a great option for those individuals post-fracture who have just had their cast removed and need a little extra support around their wrist and thumb.
BENEFITS:
The Wrist and Thumb Support (W47) is designed to provide general support to the wrist and thumb. This brace features straps around the thumb to support and immobilize the thumb joint. Multiple straps down the wrist and forearm secure the brace in place with an additional circumferential strap that can be tightened around the wrist for added support and compression. The brace also includes a splint that can be removed so that the brace can be washed.
The brace is made of 1/8” neoprene. It is latex-free.

This brace is an excellent option for your patients who are transitioning out of their cast and need extra wrist and thumb support as they rehab and recover. The splint provides support and immobilization to the wrist joint. As the patient progresses through rehab, the splint can be removed once the higher level of support that it provides is no longer needed. The extra circumferential strap can be tightened to your patient’s desired compression levels for added support and stability. This would be a great brace for your patients to wear, as they are returning to their activities of daily living.
