The "Swedish Knee Brace" is a versatile orthosis designed to provide support and stability for individuals with anterior and posterior cruciate ligament instability, medial/lateral collateral ligament instability, chondromalacia, patellar (kneecap) tendonitis, or patellar subluxations or dislocations. It is also recommended for patients with knee hyperextension issues or instability.
BENEFITS:
This brace features adjustable patellar pull straps that provide positive medial and lateral control around the kneecap. Openings in the front and the back of the knee are provided for added comfort and positioning. The brace comes with multi-positional hinges on the medial and lateral sides of the knee. The hinges have preset range of motion stops in the ranges of 0-120 degrees, making it easy to adjust based on your needs. The hinge covers are made of neoprene for smoothness and comfort on the outside of the brace.
The brace is made of 1/8” nylon and is 2-sided neoprene. It is available in sizes S-XXL.

HOW TO MEASURE:
To find your perfect fit, start by measuring the circumference of your leg at three critical points: 6 inches below your kneecap, directly over the middle of your kneecap, and 6 inches above your kneecap. Our handy measurement video below will guide you through each step visually to ensure accuracy. After taking your measurements, if any of your measurements don't align with our standard sizes, don't worry! We offer custom-sized options to guarantee the best support and comfort for you. The "Swedish Knee Brace" (K45-MP) is PDAC-approved under recommended HCPCS codes L1832 or L1833, which describe prefabricated braces with double uprights and adjustable flexion and extension joints.

The additional patella considerations (multiple pull straps around the patella) on the Swedish Knee Brace make it ideal for your patients who are recovering from patella issues or instability.
The hinges on this brace have stops for knee ranges of motion that are accessible from the outside of the brace. As your patients progress through post-surgical recovery and rehabilitation, use the range of motion stops to keep your patients in safe ranges of knee extension and flexion.
